Description

This INSIZE edge finder for EDM uses a SØ10mm tungsten steel ball to find a workpiece edge, with the ball held to a diameter accuracy of ±0.003mm. Its spindle is non-magnetic stainless steel, and INSIZE fits it with a magnetic base so it sits on a machine table without extra clamping. Touching the ball against the workpiece edge trips the EDM machine's buzzer, marking a repeatable zero point for the machining datum. Because it needs no battery or electronics of its own, it is a straightforward way to set an accurate edge reference before starting a die-sinking or wire-EDM program.
