Makita states cutting capacities of 55 mm in wood and 6 mm in mild steel at 90°, with bevel cuts to 45° in either direction. It takes both bayonet-shank and Makita-shank blades, has a lock-on switch button, an optional dust collection connection, double-insulated construction and externally accessible carbon brushes for servicing, and weighs 2.5 kg.
