Description

The Groz BH/FG/4/14 is a blacksmith's cross pein hammer with a fibreglass handle and a 1.8 kg (4 lb) head, 14 inches (350 mm) long overall. Groz states the head conforms to BS 876 and ASME B107.400-2018, is hardened to 50-58 HRC, and grips the fibreglass shaft with a TRP sleeve. The cross pein - a wedge-shaped face set across the hammer head - is used for drawing out and shaping hot metal at the forge, alongside the flat face for general striking.
