The INSIZE 1214-500 is a vernier caliper with a 0-500mm/0-20 inch range, reading in steps of 0.02mm or 0.001 inch to an accuracy of ±0.05mm. INSIZE builds it in the separate-type style, where the vernier and main scale are fixed to the beam with screws rather than machined as one solid piece, and states the caliper is made of stainless steel with a satin chrome-plated reading surface to keep the markings easy to read. A fine-adjustment wheel lets the user creep the jaws into position for a precise reading. It measures outside dimensions, inside dimensions, depths and steps on workpieces in a workshop, tool room or quality-inspection setting.
