Description

The INSIZE 4180-1000 is a 1000 mm straight edge made of magnalium, an aluminium-magnesium alloy that INSIZE uses because it is light, does not deform and does not rust. Its I-beam section stands 60 mm high with 30 mm wide flanges and a 5 mm web, and the whole edge weighs only 1.5 kg. Both working faces, A and B, are flat to within 5 µm and parallel to each other within 8 µm, so it serves as a reference edge for checking straightness and flatness.
