Description

The INSIZE LSK-A11 is a reader for INSIZE's absolute-type magnetic linear scale system, stated at 0.5µm resolution and ±1µm repeatability. It connects over a DB9 connector, outputting on the BISS-C protocol, which INSIZE notes can be customised to SSI, Panasonic, Tamagawa or RS485. The reader runs on a 5V±5% supply drawing under 200mA, reaches a maximum response speed of 5m/s, and carries an IP65 dust/water rating with a 0.5m cable extendable to 15m. As an absolute encoder it keeps its position reading after power is switched off, and it pairs with an INSIZE LSK-E series scale strip, sold separately.
