Description
The Makita DBN501Z is an 18V LXT cordless brad nailer for 18-gauge nails from 15 to 50 mm, firing at up to 5.4 shots per second from a 110-nail magazine. Makita states a BL1820B battery gives about 1,700 shots per charge, and a pneumatic-spring mechanism gives it lighter recoil, closer to a compressed-air nailer, than a typical cordless tool. It has an anti-dry-fire mechanism, a tool-less depth-adjustment dial, a built-in LED light, a slim nose for easy aiming, and tool-less jam clearing, firing in sequential or bump-fire mode. It weighs 2.7-3 kg and is supplied as the bare tool with a belt hook.
