Description

The Makita DJV186Z is an 18V LXT cordless top handle jig saw, supplied here as the tool only. Makita states a stroke length of 18 mm, a stroke rate up to 2,900 spm, and cutting capacities of 65 mm in wood, 6 mm in mild steel and 10 mm in aluminium, with bevel cuts to 45° either way. Weighing 1.9–2.2 kg with the battery fitted, it runs a variable speed control, an electric brake, three orbital settings plus straight cutting, and a through-the-body dust port to help keep the cut line visible.
