Description
The Makita SC103DZ is a 12V Max CXT brushless cutter for threaded rod up to M10 in mild steel or W3/8 in stainless steel, drawing up to 280 W and cutting to a minimum length of 20 mm. Makita rates a single BL1041B battery for around 700 cuts on W3/8 mild steel rod, 550 on W3/8 stainless, or 550 on M10 mild steel. Its double-edged blades give burr-free cuts so nuts thread on easily afterwards, and it has an LED job light and electric brake. Net weight is 2.7-2.8 kg. The Z code is the bare tool, without battery or charger.
