Description

This INSIZE edge finder for EDM (electrical discharge machining) locates a workpiece edge with a SØ3mm tungsten steel ball, held to a diameter accuracy of ±0.003mm. INSIZE states the spindle is non-magnetic stainless steel and the base is magnetic, so the finder can be set directly on a machine table without clamping. Bring the ball up to the workpiece edge until it just touches, and the EDM machine's own buzzer sounds, giving a reliable zero reference for setting the machining datum. It is a simple, unpowered accessory for die-sinking and wire-EDM work that needs an accurate edge reference before a program runs.
