Description

This INSIZE capacitance linear gauge measures a 12mm/0.47" range to a resolution of 0.001mm/0.00004" and an accuracy of 5μm, with hysteresis of 2μm. INSIZE states it uses a capacitance-type linear encoder, is shock-proof, waterproof and dustproof, and is rated for ten million operating cycles. A spring drive gives it a measuring force of 1.5N, and it samples 100 times a second, sending readings out over an RS232 connection through a 2 metre cable. It is meant for repeat comparison gauging on a fixture or bench, and INSIZE offers a matching display unit and a multichannel interface box as optional accessories for reading several gauges together.
