INSIZE FGG-A015 Grind Fineness Gauge, 0-15 µm Single Groove. The INSIZE FGG-A015 is a grind fineness gauge built to ISO 1524, ASTM D1210, ASTM D1316 and DIN EN 21524, used to check the particle fineness of pigments, impurities and fillers in clear or coloured paints, inks and foodstuffs. A single wedge-shaped groove reads 0-15 µm (8-7 on the Hegman scale), graduated every 0.75 µm (0.0625 Hegman): drawing the sample down the groove with the supplied scraper shows fine particles as scratches at the depth where they first break the surface. The gauge measures 170×50×13 mm and weighs 880 g.
