Description

The Makita DSC191Z is an 18V cordless steel rod cutter that shears mild and stainless steel rebar up to 20 mm in diameter in about 6.5 seconds, with a 4-way rotatable blade rated for around 4,000 cuts before it needs replacing. The head and side handle both rotate a full 360 degrees so the operator can position the tool for awkward cuts, and an adjustable stopper holds the rebar square at 90 degrees. Like Makita's other rod cutters it shears rather than grinds, so there are no sparks. Net weight with battery is 11.1-11.2 kg. The Z code is the bare tool, without battery or charger.
