Description

The Makita LW1401 is a 355 mm (14") toolless portable cut-off saw for cutting metal stock on site. Makita states its 2,200 W motor runs at 3,800 RPM, cutting up to 127 mm round stock at both 90° and 45°, or 115 x 130 mm rectangular stock at 90°. On the LW1401 a chain-type head lock secures the saw head for transport, and a shaft lock makes changing the abrasive wheel easier. A large spark guard, quick-release vise, D-shape handle and carry handle complete the saw. Net weight is 18.3 kg.
