The Metabo MAG 50 (order no. 600636500) is a 1,200 W magnetic core drill for core drills up to 50 mm and twist drills up to 20 mm, with a 50 mm drilling depth and M16 thread cutting. Its magnet base holds with 12,250 N, so it can work on vertical surfaces and overhead. A two-speed gearbox with oil-bath lubrication gives 100-250 and 200-450 rpm, kept constant under load by Vario-Tacho-Constamatic electronics, with clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation. Metabo adds an integrated coolant container, LED light, tool-free swarf guard, restart and overload protection, a 5 m cable and an MK 2 / 19 mm Weldon tool holder. It weighs 12.7 kg.
