Description
Metabo built the MFE 40 wall chaser for electrical work, "ideal for electric installations to lay cables and pipework under plaster with cutting depths up to 40 mm." Twin 125 mm discs on the 1,900 W Marathon motor (1,120 W output) cut grooves 10-40 mm deep at five preset widths from 9 mm to 35 mm, running at 5,000 rpm unloaded and 4,200 rpm under a 6 Nm load. Metabo's S-automatic safety clutch protects against jamming, and an LED indicator warns of overload; Tacho-Constamatic electronics hold the set speed. Connected to a Metabo all-purpose vacuum cleaner (certified with the ASR 35 M ACP), it keeps dust down. It weighs 4.6 kg and runs on a 4 m cable.
