Makita DGD801Z 18V Cordless Die Grinder Short Nose

The Makita DGD801Z is an 18V LXT cordless die grinder with a short-nose design and a 3, 6 or 8 mm collet, running at 26,000 RPM. Makita states a solid aluminium bearing box with a 43 mm neck for attaching accessories, vent slots that direct exhaust away from the operator, and a round collet nut to reduce marking of the workpiece. A rubber cover adds heat insulation and grip, while a battery capacity warning lamp and an anti-restart warning lamp are built in along with a battery protection circuit against overload, over-discharge and overheating. Brushes are externally accessible for servicing. Net weight is 1.5 to 2 kg.
