The Makita DTD171Z is an 18V LXT brushless cordless impact driver with 180 N·m of maximum torque and an ultra-compact 116 mm body. Wood, Bolt and two T-modes join Max, Hard, Medium and Soft settings, chosen one-handed with the redesigned mode switch. Top speed is 3,600 RPM and 3,800 impacts per minute, with a maximum output of 290 W. Rigid anvil retention reduces bit wobble, dual LED lights on both sides improve visibility, and XPT boosts dust and water resistance. It drives M4-M8 machine screws, M5-M16 standard bolts and M5-M14 high-strength bolts, and a phosphorescent bumper glows in dark places.
