Description

This welding undercut gauge from INSIZE, model 4849-1, is a stainless steel blade used to check for undercut along a weld toe by sliding its edge against the joint. A light gap under the blade shows undercut below 0.25mm, while no visible gap indicates a depth of 0.25mm or deeper. The blade measures 100mm long and 6.5mm thick, finished flat to within 0.01mm so it lies true against the weld. INSIZE supplies a calibration block with the gauge so its reading can be checked before use on site.
