Description

This INSIZE ceramic edge finder has a non-magnetic ceramic contact point on a Ø10mm shank, with a contact point diameter of Ø10mm and an accuracy of 8μm. INSIZE recommends running it at a machine spindle speed of 400 to 600rpm. The finder is chucked into the spindle and spun; when the eccentric ceramic tip touches the workpiece edge it centres itself, giving a visual sign of contact so the operator can read the position off the machine's own scales. Being ceramic, the contact point resists magnetism and static build-up, making it a straightforward, no-battery way to find an edge reference before machining.
