Description

This INSIZE electronic edge finder has a Ø20mm shank and a SØ10mm contact ball, with an accuracy of 5μm. INSIZE states the shank is electrically conducted to a metal workpiece through the machine's chuck and table, so an LED lights up and a beeper sounds the instant the ball touches the workpiece. It is not suitable for rotary use, and both the shank and contact ball are hardened for repeated use. It runs on one 23A 12V battery and gives a clear, immediate signal of edge contact, making it useful for setting a machining datum without watching the machine dial.
