Description

This INSIZE edge finder has a hardened Ø10mm shank with two contact points, a Ø10mm point and a second Ø4mm point, both held to an accuracy of 5μm. INSIZE recommends running it at a machine spindle speed of 400 to 600rpm. Chucked into the spindle and spun, its eccentric tip centres itself against a workpiece edge, giving a visible wobble that stops the moment true contact is made, so the operator can read the edge position off the machine's own scales. The second, smaller contact point suits finding edges in tighter features than the main point can reach.
