Description

The INSIZE 4820-450 pitch gauge (low accuracy) reads the pitch of a screw thread by fitting its serrated leaves into the thread profile. Made of medium carbon steel, it pairs a Metric 60° section of 22 leaves for 0.4-7.0mm pitches with a Whitworth 55° section of 28 leaves for 4-62 TPI, 50 leaves altogether. Covering both thread systems in one folding gauge lets a mechanic identify an unmarked bolt or nut on the spot, whether it was cut to a metric or a Whitworth (BSW/BSF) standard.
